As a kid I was obsessed with the stone carvers’ sheds on the grounds of the Washington National Cathedral. I’ve been curious ever since about how to make meaning-laden, sacred things.

I am on the founding team of West Co, a tech startup that builds tools to help people live more on purpose.

I use inspiration, strategy, and presence to bring soul to secular places. I am a co-founder of Sacred Design Lab and the Impact Lab at On Being. I write about the spiritual infrastructure of the future. I taught and was a Ministry Innovation Fellow at Harvard Divinity School.

Clients and partners have included Pinterest, Google, Logitech, the Obama Foundation, the Museum of the Future, and the Office of United States Surgeon General.
